Nancy Iannone, MNM, founded StrengthBuilders LLC as a consulting service to help strengthen and develop Community Benefit (nonprofit) organizations. Nancy believes that the people involved in Community Benefit organizations have the ability to create what they envision. Her goal as a consultant is to provide the knowledge, experience and guidance to help in this process. Nancy believes in a strengths-based approach to organizational development that validates and builds on current assets.
Nancy has worked in the Community Benefit Organizations (nonprofits) for nearly 30 years as a volunteer, social worker, executive director and board member, both locally and at a state level. In 2004, Ms. Iannone graduated from Regis University, Denver, Co with her Master’s in Nonprofit Management. A life long learner, Nancy continues to read extensively and shares her thoughts and experience through her blog, on Facebook and to her followers on Twitter.
Nancy is a graduate of the Community Driven Consulting Immersion class with Hildy Gottlieb in Tucson, AZ. Having used Hildy’s ideas and materials extensively while working as an Executive Director for Hospice of Havasu, Nancy jumped at the chance to learn a new philosophy for creating community change. Based on the Pollyanna Principles, Community Driven Consulting focuses on a vision of what is possible, the role of the organization in reaching that potential and how to create a practical and doable plan to get there.
A self-admitted fan of technology, Nancy has become actively involved in social media as a way to create relationships, build opportunities and share knowledge. Communication with staff, board, volunteers, donors, funders and community supporters is and will continue to be a crucial ingredient of organizational success in the 21st century.
